Google has digitized many books for preview, find in a library, read online and even download. Type in your query below and search. An online genealogy service from the Irish Times. Searches can be done on ancestors, place names and other criteria and cover civil records, censuses etc. It is a charged service with some free searching. Irish Origins includes Griffith's Primary Valuation of Ireland records and maps, Irish Wills Index (1484-1858), the 1851 Dublin City Census, Irish Royal Garrison Artillery Records, and the Irish Origins Library, all accessible via a free Irish name search. The National Archives- Ireland
The National Archives holds many records which are relevant to Irish genealogy and local history and since January 2003, has an in-house genealogy service which offers a short personal consultation service by professional genealogists to visitors to the National Archives who are researching their family tree.
Origins.Net This site provides access to definitive databases of genealogical data for researching your family history online. The emphasis is on England, Wales, Ireland & Scotland. It includes some census records, Boyd's Marriage Index and some local probate records and indexes to wills. This is a subscription service.
UK BMD (Births, Marriages, Deaths) This site provides links to websites that offer online transcriptions of UK and Ireland Birth, Marriage and Death records and census records. The information is taken from various sources including the GRO, local registrars' records and parish registers. It is searchable by County. Some of the services linked to will be free others are charged for.
